Mother and Daughter

As a girl when I thought how beautiful it would feel
If I had a daughter when I’m mommy to be

Laces and frills, shoes and clips
A wardrobe for her dolls, doll house on the cliff

Potluck and strolls in the park
Handsome boys and expensive cars
She would live life class apart

Every mother feels this
Every mother dreams this
A daughter who would fulfill her dreams
And that she would always rule her realm

Precious yet strong,daughter comes along
Role of a mother changes, she is the best friend now
That’s what a mother teaches her daughter
For the generations to come she must want… A daughter

Would give her the living I never had
Would make her the person I could never be

This is what every mother feels
when she wraps her daughter in her arms and her princess sleeps.
