The Open End

I saw you last night
while at dinner in the candle light
Your eyes were shinning, it was such a respite

What were we thinking a day before
When it was screaming and screeching all I heard
We fought and fought but at the end we compromised
Cause the feeling within was love and not hate crime

Why did we fall in love?
Why did we stay?
Was all the time we spent thinking worth the wait?

We thought life would be melodic
Together we thought we could conquer battles
Little did we know that perfection is a myth
The picture is never perfect as perfection doesn’t exist

We try to mould ourselves to make us look good
Was it for others or the one who makes us feel good

And now that I’m all alone in this empty house i feel,
We made a mistake – life is real and not reel
