Emptiness

I saw you, we met
Not by choice hence we regret

We kept on meeting each other
Late night calls. All the chatter

I thought it was love
I thought I had found ‘the one’

You made me feel I was right
We were meant to meet. It was such a delight

I had pictured our wedding a million times in my mind
I thought it was a soon to be reality but you dint stay by my side

It was sudden
It was quick
The emptiness left me hollow and weak

How will I cope? I questioned myself
It was a challenge I took I never thought I could comprehend

To prove that I CAN! I can stay alone
Not want you besides me anymore

It was tough.. the emptiness was killing me
The loneliness made me strong
To fight the chauvinist and balance with the world around

One thing I knew along
I alone could cure the emptiness YOU felt all along
