Platinum rings, truthful vows

they were happily married without a doubt

She met another man, happily married as well

They became friends and got along well

Soon they realized that they made each other happy

Happier than the one they truthfully vowed for

They were lost in lust and rhyme

Betrayal came in wrong was right

Sooner they thought, this was not worth it

They took a break and lost themselves

They knew it was wrong, all of it

They knew they were rusting, with time

Couldn’t they leave either? Partner or lover

What was important? Love or faith

They died within, though happily married

Smiles all the way, tears within

They grew older, fulfilling their duties

Were a good partner and an idol to comprehend

They met again, years later

Waiting on the deathbed to reunite

I always try to think out of the box. i love poetry and hope to contribute my best to the field :)
