Pretty please!

Woke up in the morning, Got ready to step out,

Put the mascara without a goop, Lips colored with a pout.

Wore the slender dress, Lenses along to blend,

Matching shoes and the hat, Pretty damsel beat so many hearts.

She stepped foot out of the house,Public adoration is all she found,

Just when she was comfortable in herself,

He came and scarred her for life.

When she saw at herself, after many months,

She couldn’t believe what she saw.

She was questioning herself, where did her pretty face go?

Where were the smooth skin and the beautiful smile?
She woke up one morning,

All ready to step out.

This time she put no mascara, no gloss.

The blush was gone, her bare skin was all.
She stepped foot out of the house,

Public pity is all she found.

Just when she was getting comfortable in herself,

Self loathing stepped in and her confidence went away.
