Noise

Cars honking on the streets,
Birds chirping on the trees,
The crockery chit chatting while I cook,
Slam! Response comes from the door

Voices on the idiot box,
Neighbors talking on a higher note,
Radio playing in the background,
And my heart wanders all around

The mind asks the heart, Why are you stressed and sad?
Heart trying to figure the mind’s voice, replied with a cry,
Voices everywhere, I feel heavy,
Mind smiles and says – you shouldn’t be

Stressed and stretched you are, Listening to everything
Noise it is, look deep within,
time to set back, stop and relax
Take one step at a time, you are weaker than you think

When the beating stops, the human still,
Set him free, from the stress within,
The heart is smiling now, thanking the mind,
He said – yes they were just noises, not the voice within
